Door to door in Ecuador

Uncle Joe has a friend who is one of Jehovah's witnesses down south of the border. He also has a JW (Walt) out here who will not pass through our portal. Richard and I were watching a 1987 Billy Grahm meeting and Walt kind of freaked. Walt thinks Billy is aggressive.

New Year's Eve, Baby!

Richard and are having a Lean Cuisine Italian dinner tonight. With luck, we will have a couple of English Muffins with our dinner.

Richard and I are amazed by the gourmet delights one can create by just using a microwave oven and a toaster.

Please have a safe and sweet new year.

A fun day spent at a tire store--almost lke being at a water park

Poor Uncle Joe has been losing PSI out of one tire or another. Uncle Joe, Richard , and I went to Les Schwab today and Uncle Joe bougbt 2 tires. I think the staff had boat payments to make. Turns out Uncle Joe had 2 bald rear tires, and he drives very late at night. Plus, he drove to Seattle on his bald tires. Bill Puckett would say (rhymes with Pucket) to that idea.

Very good day.

No more cooking

Uncle Joe prefers Richard and I not use the stove or the oven. We are allowed to use the microwave and the toaster.. Richard and I are going to scope out the frozen food aisle at IGA tomorrow.

To anyone who reads this blog

Please have a safe and sweet holiday. Richard and I are having ham, mashed potatoes, and green peas. Neither of us are sweet eaters, so I don't know what we are having for dessert.

Great laundry day

Richard and I did his whites. Uncle Joe has a great f (oops, that word has been stricken from my vocabulary) washer/dryer combo. Richard is wearing socks for the first time in 3 weeks!

Thursday, Richard and I are washing his coloreds. Not his slaves! His cords, jeans, and sweaters.

Can life get any better than this?

Yuletide Greetings!

Uncle Joe and Bill Puckett (rhymes with?) will spend the holiday in Seattle. Richard and I are going to buy a huge bottle of vodka, take a flashlight up to the attic (oops, the loft) , and count our toes.

Anyone know the "Way to San Jose" ?

Richard and I have a Yamaha keyboard and would like to post a duet on YouTube. We just need chords and lyrics.

Duly reprimanded

I promise never to use the "F-WORD" again on this blog. Richard washed my mouth out with soap. Actually, I think he washed my mouth out with marshmallows, which taste much better than Ivory soap. Maybe that is why I love the big lug, Well, at least maybe a small lug.

Cold and snowy

Today was cold and snowy..a fucked weather day. Oops, Uncle Joe told Richard I must not use the "F-WORD" anymore. Is the "F-WORD" food or fuck?

Since it is so cold and snowy I must contain my bladder for at least the next 12 to 14 hours.

Richard and I have no power nor heat up in our attic. Uncle Joe calls our attic a "loft" and Richard and I just wink at each other when we call the attic a "loft".

Our first storm

Yesterday was not horrible, although Richard and I spent many hours in the fucking dark. Uncle Joe bought some sort of generator machine that runs on gasoline, but nobody here knows how to run the fucking machine.

It might be a long and cold winter. We are praying for Joe Szabo and Biff.

Just another Sunday

Richard and I enjoyed George Stephanopoulos's interview with Condoleezza Rice. Good news, David Gregory is taking over Press the Meet, that means Richard and I are free from 10 to 11 on Sunday mornings.

We met Mark's wife, Jane, this morning. Very, very nice lady, and today is Mark's b'day . Happy birthday Mark!

For Richard -One Fine Day

One fine day
You'll look at me
And you will know our love was
Meant to be
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl
The arms I long for
Will open wide
And you'll be proud to have me
By your side
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl
Though I know you're the
Kind of boy
Who only wants to run around
I'll keep waiting and
Someday darling
You'll come to me when you want to settle down oh
One fine day
We'll meet once more
And then you'll want the love you
Threw away before
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl
One fine day
We'll meet once more
And then you'll want the love you
Threw away before
One fine day
You're gonna want me for your girl

A day at the laundromat

Uncle Joe woke up this morning with a bug up his you-know-what to hit the laundromat in Aberdeen. After the flood and the fire, Uncle Joe and Richard finally got the hang of a using a laundromat . I stayed in the car.

Wonderful weather today, but no walk on the beach.

Uncle Joe and Richard had tuna melts tonight. I had the same damn lamb and rice dog food. After Richard and Uncle Joe go to sleep I will raid the cat food. Yum!

Richard and Billy worked hard today-I did not

Richard and Billy Rogers made a real dent in Uncle Joe's house. The house is beginning to look pretty good.

Jodie invited Richard and I for another romp in her backyard with her 2 puppies. Also, Jodie gave Richard a supplement that will help my joints, but I haven't had a joint in months.

I would love to meet Kristen, and we pray that Richard and I may return someday.

Always stay sweet.

We have a new friend!

Jodie is a young, sweet Asian woman that owns a house on our street. She comes down from Seattle every couple of weeks. She came over today with a bag of treats and invited Richard and I over to her house for a romp in her fenced-in back yard with her two rescue dogs. Real fun!

Richard got a haircut!!

Following Uncle Joe's lead Richard got a buzz-cut today and Richard looks much less homeless. When Richard loses his scraggly beard he may even look respectable.

Joe Hryczszyn (can I buy a vowel?) paid a visit and Joe H. , Richard and I had a great afternoon. We got a bit worried about Uncle Joe, but he finally came home.

Dreary day, but we are alive,

A very different Thanksgiving

Richard, Rosie, ( Rosie is a one of Uncle Joe's cats, not a hooker from the casino just up the street) and I spent most of the day in bed. We think Uncle Joe and Bill made it safe and sound to his daughter's place. Richard should have asked Uncle Joe to call us when he arrives there.

All is well here, but Richard needs a haircut. Maybe tomorrow?

Spaghetti

Richard, Joe, and Laverna are having a spaghetti dinner tonight. This is our real Thanksgiving, and we all have much to be thankful for.

Uncle Joe got a great buzz-cut today and the haircut is a fountain of youth. I think he had a good day.

Well, Richard has to get cooking and I get to be Richard's sous-chef de cuisine tonight.

Love to all. Have a sweet and safe holiday.

Sorry about the last post.

I know the Richard quote was coarse ( crude or unrefined in taste, manners, or language), but that is what he said. I would not be a good reporter if I changed the quote in any way.

Richard tells me he has a special Thanksgiving planned for me and my kitty cousins. Think maybe ham and green bean casserole?

We are all doing quite well and we are looking forward to the holidays.

New bunk-mate

Rosie, the Calico cat, is now a member of the dank, cold attic club of Falls of Clyde Loop. Last night at about 1 am I heard Richard scream "You God damn fucking cat!" Using her back claws, Rosie had launched herself off of Richard's left shoulder.

Then at 3:48 A.M I awoke Richard needing a poop and a pee...not Richard, me.

Richard is no Saint Francis of Assisi, , but he is okay.

Another glorious day here in OS

Richard and I expected awful weather today but the weather was wonderful. Joe and his buddy Bill headed into Aberdeen . Richard and I just hung out.

Uncle Joe has hired Billy (not Bill Puckett) to clear out the house...Yeah!!!

Lysol- a verb?

I think Lysol is a name of a product. But the other night some cat puked on Uncle Joe's white jacket. Richard said, "I'll Lysol it." Uncle Joe responded, "When you're done I will Lysol my bed."

Is Lysol a transitive verb?

Early Thanksgiving

Richard and Uncle Joe celebrated Thanksgiving today. Richard microwaved 2 Banquet turkey dinners. As usual I didn't get a bite.

The weather is changing and today feels more like winter. My gosh, the incessant rain!

Uncle Joe continues to be great.

Great weather day today

I think Richard gave me some bad info the other day. The weather today was glorious! The next few days may be iffy, but today was great.

Uncle Joe is working one his 2 long days and we can't wait for him to get home. Tomorrow is a day off for Uncle Joe so Richard and I hope Joe kicks back. BTW, his TV is Working. PTL!

Richard tells me that he misses his wife dearly, but he knows it is God's plan he is out here. Both Richard and I are discussing a PLAN-B and will let you know what that might be..

Gem, my cousin, is responding to my blog, and I can't wait to meet him/her. Gem, please send me a photo of you to rryan52@gmail.com. I will post the pic on this blog.

Life is real good here.

TAZERS

Richard is on E-BAY right now trying to buy something called a Tazer. Richard says this device will keep Uncle Joe quiet for at least an hour. Richard tells me he just wants Uncle Joe to scream "Don't Taze me bro", but I think Richard will Taze Uncle Joe just for the fun of it.

Life is good. My leg is much better, and AA was real fun (not really).

Went to the vet today

Richard tried to walk me this morning and I did pretty good. However, he noticed my back right leg was still giving me trouble. Went to the vet (I love Doc Stiles!!!) and she told Richard that I probably hurt my knee jumping into bed or maybe by chasing a deer. But I gather I'm going to live.

Joe is great. The house is flame-free, and we are doing just fine, thank you.

More rain!

So my paw felt a little better this morning. Walked down the street, but no beach. Met up with Sammy and she is doing fine.

Went to Walmart and rode the cart. I got many pets and smiles. Richard and Joe are very good to me.

We bought 2 fire extinguishers, so we will sleep calm tonight.

Bad paw day and a fire

Woke up this morning with my right rear paw a bit sore. Went to the beach and walked using three paws. Richard called the vet today and if I'm not better tomorrow we will take a ride to Olympia.

Uncle Joe had an electrical fire in his house this afternoon. Joe, Richard, Laverna and I spent the good part of the afternoon on Joe's front porch. Fire Department, cops, and an ambulance showed up, but we are all quire safe.

What a day!

So what's up with WA weather?

Another crap weather day. Richard and I went to the beach late this afternoon. Windy and wild. But thank God I did not fall into the ocean.

I love my life and I love my Uncle Joe. Richard is somewhat OK, but still an a-hole.

Rain, rain, and more rain

Another crappy weather day and so no beach. But Richard and I took a car ride and that was pretty sweet. I think Richard and I are starting to annoy Joe so Richard and I are discussing a Plan-B. Don't get me wrong, Joe has been sweet and generous, but I think we've invaded his personal space. Joe works long hours and works very intensely so we (Richard and me) have to be a bit more "guest-like".

Let's hope for sun and a beach walk tomorrow!

Rainy Wednesday

Rainy day so no beach. Went to AA today and sat in Bill's lap. They call me the "therapy dog". After AA Richard, Joe, and I went to Aberdeen. Got some new worm meds, but I doubt Richard can force them down me. And I don't think I have any worms. Richard should take me to a vet, but he has no job. After that we went to Walmart (surprise!) and then Safeway. Even without the beach it was a pretty fun day

It is Joe's birthday today and he got calls from his kids. Richard and Joe are having pot roast tonight, but not me.

Short update

Yesterday, Sunday, the rain stopped and the sun broke out. Richard and I went to the beach and had a great walk.

Richard and Joe had a cookout , but as usual I got nothing.

Today was dreary and rainy, but we took a ride and had some fun. Richard did some chores for my Uncle Joe. Richard and I are so blessed that Uncle Joe invited us into his life and into his home.

Another uneventful day

Got Richard up at 2:45 am for a poop and a pee (not him, me). Big mistake, but he was a gentleman. Went back to sleep but then ran downstairs at 5 something and tried to get the cats' food. Richard forgot to close our upstairs gate. He scooped me up, apologized to to Joe , and took me back upstairs. My feelings were hurt for a couple of hours, but Richard and I are friends again.

Met Duane this morning. He's a guy that lives a few door down from Joe. His wife left him today (go figure) and Richard invited him over for a cocktail.

Laverna cleaned and straightened today. Richard and I went to the beach. Joe had a hell of a long day. But at least my life is good, and that is all that counts.

Kind of a boring day

Drizzly and overcast, but we did get in a couple of walks . Richard tried to get a library card, but he needs some mail sent to him to prove his residence. If anyone is so inclined our address is:

Richard Ryan (not Sweetheart)
863 Falls of Clyde Loop SE
Ocean Shores, WA 98569

Richard got pissed at the librarian because he couldn't bring me in. Richard must get a life.

That's all for now.

First AA Meeting

Richard and I went to the beach this morning, but no walk. He spent an hour talking to a guy named Don Redd, a Viet Nam vet. Don is a retired grounds keeper and his wife is a retired deli worker They spend 6 months a year travelling with an Air-Stream.

Came home and went to an AA meeting. Richard told the group I have 3 months of sobriety under my collar. Richard can be a real a-hole at times.

After the meeting Joe, Richard, and I went and got my ears checked and I got flea meds. All free of charge from PAWS.

Home now and chilling. Life is good.

Waiting for the Cable Guy

Joe lost his cable this weekend and he was not happy. Today Richard I spent most of the morning waiting for the cable guy. Everything is fine now, and Richard and I even managed to get a walk on the beach. Met a Dachshund (his name escapes me right now) who was real nice except for his jumping on my back.

Tonight Richard and Joe had chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes. As usual I got not a dang bite. But life is real good.

Tomorrow we're visiting Richard's new friend, Jeannie. That should be fun.

Richard needs to get a job, but a job where he can take me.

One more walk tonight and then bed.

Walmart Day

Richard took me to another new place on the ocean. This is at the end of Taurus Blvd. Met lots of new puppies and think this spot is my favorite so far.

Joe complained about my typos and I just said "Joe, I have no effen fingers!" He shut up.

Richard took me to Walmart today . He told the greeter that I'm a "service dog" and that I lower his blood pressure. They let me in but I had to stay in the cart. What fun! People made a fuss over me, but thought Richard a little strange. He bought socks and underwear, but nothing for me...but I've got the world on a string, and you know how song goes.

Joe continues to be great.

First Saturday in Ocean Shores--Yeah, baby!

Richard took me to a new place on the beach. Great walk and we found an eatery called "The Shrimp Boat Deli". We didn't catch a bite there, but we did get a menu and will probably eat there sometime. Later in the day Richard and Joe took me to the beach (twice in one day!) and I met many new dog pals. Both Richard and I are so glad Joe took us in.

Tonight Richard is making something he calls Irish Spagehetti. I don't get table scraps so I won't be able to report on what it tastes like.

Life is good here in OS.

Another day, another dollar

Richard and I went to the beach again. Today he wore a coat, so he wasn't so cold. I love Joe and his cats and Richard explained to me how lucky the both of us are to have a place to live. Richard went out with his friend Lee, so I'm just basically waiting for people to come home..

Love and kisses from Ocean Shores.

A fun day

I don't usually post twice a day, but I do have some time on my paws. Richard and I went to the shore today and had a blast. Little cold, but a great walk. After the beach Richard went to IGA and bought me Beggin' Strips (he calls them "stinky treats") and a box of biscuits. Can life get any better? Then we took a short nap.

Let me introduce myself

I am a 3 year old Corgi-Terrier mix. My previous owners had to give me up because their kid was allergic to me. I don't know what allergic means, but hey, life deals you the hand you get. Yesterday a guy, Joe, and his brother Richard broke me out of an animal shelter in Aberdeen, WA. I now live with 7 cats and a raccoon. Pretty cool! I love Joe's house and he is very, very nice. Even slept in is bed for a while. Slept the first night upstairs with Richard. I'm getting used to the spiral staircase, but it scares me a bit. I am so lucky to be adopted by Joe and Richard and I will try to be a very good dog.

Richard tells me we are going to the beach today. Effen righteous.....
